The premise is easy enough to understand right away, which I appreciated. You're given the towns, you're given the clues, and you have to work out which one fits. No complicated rules or pages of instructions before you can actually start solving. The challenge comes from the amount of information you have to work through. This is definitely better suited to someone who enjoys taking their time with a puzzle rather than looking for something they can finish during a quick coffee break. I liked being able to put it down and come back to it later without losing the thread. If you enjoy deduction games, or those puzzles where you get a little too determined to prove your answer is right, this is a fun one to have around.
I received a complimentary copy of this mystery puzzle book. It includes 24 days of puzzles to solve. Each day has a clue about the mystery, and then a list of what the culprit was not or did not do, say, carry, etc. It then breaks the logic puzzle for that day into rooms, with the people in each room. You have to go through the picture key for each person and eliminate the people/places that don't fit the clue and culprit list. As each day progresses, each culprit list, list of rooms, and suspects grows. It's definitely different from other puzzle books I've seen, but I would have liked a little more variety.
I really enjoyed this book. The mysteries are fun, challenging, and keep you thinking from beginning to end. I especially liked the Egyptian setting, which makes the experience even more interesting. There are plenty of suspects, clues, and twists to keep you entertained. It's a great choice for anyone who enjoys murder mysteries, logic puzzles, and solving cases on their own. Definitely a fun and engaging book!
I had fun trying to solve the different mysteries in this book. I liked the Egyptian setting and working through the clues to narrow down the suspects. With 24 different cases, there was plenty to figure out and some of them definitely made me think.
Super cool book! This would be fun to do as a family. Let everyone take a day and decide who did it. I appreciate that the answers are in the back in case you aren't good at this kind of thing. It would also be great for a car ride! Well done!
