I love, Love, LOVE this book! There is not just one mystery to solve, but 24! The first 23 smaller, less dire mysteries lead to the final major crime to investigate. Each puzzle has its own blurb, clues, and potential suspects, but all fit into the same premise and occur on the same cruise within 8 rooms. This book has great organization and terrific graphics. Each puzzle grows in complexity, number of clues, and number of suspects as the book goes along. The longer suspect lists span multiple pages, so it takes a moment to figure out how to track the columns across them, but once you do, it is smooth sailing the rest of the book. This book is ideal for puzzle lovers who want a challenge but also want a simpler, quicker solve. Each passenger has five icons next to their name, indicating what they drank, what they carried, what they wore, what they boarded with, and how they traveled. These icons are used to narrow down the suspect in each case. The steps in this book are easy to follow. The ultimate mystery only has 500 suspects, which is the most of any of the cases. This setup of multiple mysteries leading to one big case is a great twist on the genre. I love the concept and layout of this book. I would give it more stars if I could.

What a fun and unique way to present logic puzzles. With little pictures/pictographs to represent items the suspects were carrying, things they wore, etc. I love that there's a central location and theme running throughout the book. Fun and interesting puzzles make me want to keep turning the page. My one complaint about this book is that it's a little too easy. The location is given as an outright clue, so that makes all the other suspects in their respective locations just useless, wasted space. I think it would have been far better to have the clue be something more like where the suspect was not seen. Overall, though, fun and interesting puzzle book!
Murder Aboard the Savannah is a fun twist on the traditional puzzle book. I enjoyed working through the clues, narrowing down the suspects, and trying to figure out who was behind the murders. The puzzles are challenging enough to keep you thinking without becoming frustrating. I especially liked the mystery/detective theme — it made the book feel more like solving an actual case than simply doing puzzles. Great choice for anyone who enjoys murder mysteries, logic puzzles, and brain teasers!
