This is a very interesting book. Make sure you have your pencils ready and sharpened. It took me (an adult) a minute to figure out what I was supposed to do but once I figured it out, FUN! Young children will not get this at all without help. The pictures on the front of the book are misleading making it seem like its for younger kids. I would say more for 10 to 12. Follow instructions and find the thief.
This book was fun. I also believe it would help with memory retention, having to remember symbols. It would be better as a physical copy, I could see crossing off clues in pencil to help solve the mystery. I also found myself timing how fast I could solve a mystery, a challenge to myself. This would be a fun book to keep at ready, for when a child needs something fun to occupy some time.
If your kid likes logic puzzles and solving mysteries they enjoy this book. They're not too hard to figure out. You just follow the basic instructions. I had a good time figuring out who did what. There are 19 different mysteries you have to solve. There's also an answer key at the end. To help if you get stuck. There is also a detective certificate when you complete all the mysteries.
We had a great time playing these games the kids loved all of the games. The clues are really great like it actually is simple but yet fun and brain teasing and the answers that are given in the end makes it easy to know who could guess it. To add a little bit more fun we just made it like who could find the answer with in a time frame like 2 minutes.
I Love Me A Good Puzzle And this Book Is Filled With Them. I Was Hooked Since The First One And Couldn't Put It Down. Imagine My Surprise At The End To Find Out Who It Was. Definitely Recommend To Kids Who Loves A Good Puzzle And Fashion Them Selves The Best Detective.
